Emergency services are available to all Facilities to which CMHS provides service and are provided in a cost-effective manner.  Emergency mental health treatment may include transfers to medical/psychiatric housing units, transfer to an inpatient psychiatric hospital, ordering emergency psychotropic medications, and assessments regarding the use of restraint or seclusion.  Emergency mental health management is available 24 hours per day, seven (7) days per week by phone and can be provided on-site within 24 hours when contracted.
